Once you’ve completed all six pre-licensing courses from a Texas Real Estate School like School Estate, you’re eligible to take your Texas Real Estate License state exam.

Here are the next steps to getting your Texas Real Estate License:

  • Register for the State Exam: Sign up online through the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) website.
  • Complete Application and Pay Fees: You will also need to complete your Texas Real Estate License application and pay the associated application fee.
  • Get Fingerprinted: Schedule and pay for your required fingerprinting.
  • Find a Sponsoring Broker: Before your Texas Real Estate License can be activated, you must affiliate with a sponsoring broker (you cannot practice real estate independently in Texas). It’s advisable to begin your search for a sponsoring broker as soon as possible to ensure a smooth license activation. In Texas, School Estate offers a broker matching program to assist our students. When you’re nearing the completion of your first course with School Estate, you’ll have the option to opt-in and let us help you find a suitable broker.
